November 2012

Unfortunately, due to illness in the family,  Matthew Lester has postponed his lecture which was due to be held on 29 November.  We have now ended our Thursday lectures for 2012.  We would like to thank St Andrew’s Prep for their generosity in allowing us to use their venue and to show our appreciation we donated R750 towards their Save the Rhino fund.  We will meet again in the new year when the date of our first lecture will be posted.

A Climate of Change

November 22, 2012
9:50 amto11:00 am

On Thursday 22 November 2012 Jay O’Keeffe will talk to us about different types of change, and our resistance to, or acceptance of it. The examples are of environmental change, and chiefly about rivers. He uses climate change as one example, but does not concentrate on it. This should be an interesting topic, because we all find it more and more difficult to deal with change as we get older.  Meet at 9.50 am in the Mullins Room at St Andrew’s Prep.
